Standout Quotes:

Working in Health Tech: "Whilst I love pediatrics, love clinical medicine, definitely wanted to use my brain in a different way to solve very unbound and often complex challenges in healthcare end to end using technology."

— Satya Raghuvanshi  [00:03:59 → 00:04:13]

The Importance of Product Thinking and Collaboration: "One was a really deep appreciation of product thinking and how you translate your clinical experience and your clinical background into product development...also just the ability to collaborate...can you work effectively with engineers, can you work effectively with product managers to deliver an end to end solution?"

— Satya Raghuvanshi  [00:06:02 → 00:06:13]

Product Development in Healthcare: "Good products should solve a problem."

— Satya Raghuvanshi  [00:15:44 → 00:15:45]

Upskilling and Entrepreneurial Spirit: "I think there's quite a lot of activity based things. So hackathons, fellowships, courses that you can do that helps upskill you and lots of those are subsidized or accessible on online forums, et cetera. So you'll get lots of different opportunities there to be able to generally upskill. I think there's something to be said for that kind of almost entrepreneurial spirit in the sense of solving problem within your existing care setting."

— Satya Raghuvanshi  [00:21:41 → 00:22:46]

Hiring based on Potential and Flexibility: "So we also don't hire for skills. We hire things like we're not expecting anyone to have done product development who have come from a health tech company. We're looking for people who show potential. And by potential, I mean can you think flexibly around a problem? Can you have fixed ideas? But actually, are you open to those fixed ideas being challenged when you're given more contextual information or something that maybe doesn't quite fit with the answer you didn't?"

— Satya Raghuvanshi  [00:23:41 → 00:24:10]

Cultural Fit in an Organization: "One of the big red flags for me is when somebody's really derogatory if they work in primary care and they're derogatory about their secondary colleagues or that's actually anticipated to the mission what we're trying to achieve. And if you come in with that opinion, but you're also not willing to say, hey, this problem and this is something I want to solve or get to make better. That will be a bit of a red flag to me."

— Satya Raghuvanshi  [00:25:58 → 00:26:17]

Importance of Team Dynamics: "So we always invite people to come and have lunch with the team because they have an equal vote in whether or not that person joins. And so that, I think is quite important because something that I found is where you have that imbalance actually ends up causing so much disruption down the line."

— Satya Raghuvanshi  [00:28:52 → 00:29:08]
